The 10-year anniversary of the Normalzeit wristwatch was celebrated on June 27, 2025, at Brotfabrik Vienna. Inspired by the iconic 1907 Vienna cube clock, the watch was first launched in 2015 by Viennese design company lichterloh and has since become a cult object of wearable urban history. Guests were treated to a vibrant evening featuring an art exhibition, Viennese songs, and charming anecdotes about the clock’s legacy. Special guest Fredi Brodmann, the New York-based watch designer who created the original model (and also designed the other models), attended the event. A highlight of the celebration was the unveiling of the latest edition with a sleek black case, developed for luxury jeweler Wempe. The anniversary price of €495 remains valid after the event – a symbolic gesture in uncertain times. With five models to date – from the original 1907 limited series (sold out) to the pandemic-inspired “Time To Date” – Normalzeit stands for timeless design, cultural storytelling, and a piece of Vienna on your wrist.
